Kurrently: K-songs I Have On Repeat

"Too Much"

This song by Kid Laroi, Jungkook of BTS, and British rapper Central Cee is addictive. The instrumental catches your attention right away, starting out soft and then escalating to a steady beat. It hits harder, though, thanks to Jungkook’s soulful vocals and the lyrics that directly ask a former partner if they would “do it again,” as in rekindle the old relationship.

"Perfect Night"

This song by girl group Le Sserafim is such a fun, lighthearted song. The lyrics are guaranteed to get stuck in your head, but I personally don't mind it because their voices sound so pretty. This is definitely the soundtrack to anyone’s night out while spending time with their friends. It’s great to dance to or vibe to, whatever you're feeling at the moment!

“Favorite”

This song by Khh artist collective Offshore, including Def, Junny, iHwak, and Royal Dive is elite. At least in terms of something chill, yet groovy. Like Perfect Night, it suits any energy level, whether that’s really getting into the song or putting it on to relax. The main vocals are smooth, and the background vocals add another catchy layer to the overall sound.

“let go”

This song by Hartts and YELLA sounds like an R&B influenced pop song, and it falls into the broader KHH category. Right from the start, the guitar chords convey a sort of bittersweet feeling. It sounds upbeat, but also a little dejected. There are lyrics such as “caught me slipping up,” and “we can't pick up the pieces.” I always find myself looping this song after listening to it once, and Hartts is very underrated.

"Here We Go Again"
This song by JINI is captivating thanks to its dynamic sound. There’s a constant back and forth between a bubbly chorus and verses sung in her slightly lower register. It has a little bit of everything: some cheery and some moody elements. It also seems like it's meant to be a dance song. It’s quite catchy and genuinely worth listening to several times.

"Right Now"
This song by KHH rapper Coogie ft. Crush is one that I never get tired of. The beat is so fresh and fun. Even though it's repetitive, I don’t think it needs any further variation because it’s good as it is. Coogie’s vocal tone is really nice to listen to as well. It sounds like he doesn't put too much effort into his raps, which keeps the song sounding relaxed. When Crush comes in singing, it all just gets even better. He adds more dimension to what would otherwise be a “flat” song, as I call it.
